Hi Amar,

It is better for bioavailability to take DCI in divided doses, but the best thing is to find a schedule you know you can keep. Missing days/doses is not a good idea, as you can wind up right back at square one if you miss just a few days of DCI. It is not advisable to take both at night – DCI is used in insulin response and that means it is most useful during your waking hours, when you’re eating. It is fine to take DCI with food or on an empty stomach, but we generally recommend taking it before a meal, this gives it time to be absorbed and incorporated so that it can be used as needed.

Hi Lori,

The best thing to do is find a regular schedule that you can keep. If you can reliably take 1 capsule thrice daily (maybe before meals), then that is better in terms of bioavailability than taking all 3 at once. The most important thing though is to never miss a day – so start a daily regimen that you know you can maintain. Best wishes and let us know how you progress.

Hi,
I just received my first order in the mail and was a bit confused about the instruction. The pamphlet said that it should be taken at the same time each morning. I read somewhere that one pill should be taken in the morning and one at night, is that ok? Can I take them both at night? I am also on metformin and that needs to be taken with meals and I would really like to know whether meal/food intake affects the use of DCI.

I just ordered DCI and am extremely excited to start…I have suffered from PCOS for 18 years now. My 2 hopes for this supplement is to help w/ regulating my period and reduction in male-like facial hair. My question is, according the information I have read, I should take 600mg/130lbs of body weight. I weigh 375 so I need to take three, correct? Do I take them all at once? Or, should I divide them into 3 doses like every 8 hours?

D-chiro-inositol is a B vitamin, it really couldn’t affect liver function. Are you taking any medications for PCOS, such as metformin? Metformin, and other drugs commonly prescribed for PCOS, are known to affect liver function.

Hello, I have been taking Chiral Balance for a little over 1 month. I just had some blood work done at the doctor and my liver enzymes were elevated. Could this be from the DCI?
