The original studies determined that an effective daily dose of D-chiro-inositol (DCI) is 10-20 mg of DCI per kg of body weight. This equates to at least one 600 mg capsule daily for women weighing less than 130 pounds and at least two 600 mg capsules daily for women weighing more than 130 pounds.
